How We Select Lawyers
We don't accept every lawyer who applies. Before a firm is listed in the directory, it needs to meet a clear set of criteria.

Firms appear in the directory and in Lawyer Finder results only after we review their public information — not to vouch for their advice or guarantee an outcome, but to make sure the firms listed genuinely work on property matters relevant to Marbella.
What we require
What We Require
Genuine property law focus
Practice must substantively include property matters in the Marbella area.
Bar association registration
Verified standing with the relevant Colegio de Abogados.
Independence
No undisclosed relationship to a specific estate agency or developer.
Professional indemnity insurance
Confirmed before acceptance.
Verifiable contact details
A real, checkable office and contact route.
Clear communication
Able to work with international clients, typically in English as well as Spanish.
Disqualifying factors
What Rules a Firm Out
No verifiable bar association registration
No genuine property law focus
Known complaints involving misleading marketing or conflicts of interest
Unwilling to confirm basic practice details during registration
Meeting these criteria means a firm is eligible to be listed — it isn't a ranking, endorsement, or guarantee of the advice or outcome you'll receive.
Reporting concerns
If a firm you found through the platform doesn't seem independent, misrepresents their experience, or you have concerns about how they've approached your matter, we'd like to know. Contact us — this helps us keep the directory reliable for other users, even though we can't investigate or resolve disputes over the legal services themselves.
This page covers which firms are listed. For how listings are reviewed and kept up to date, see our review process. For practical steps you can take yourself before trusting anyone with your money or signature, see How to Avoid Property Lawyer Scams in Marbella.
